We are made for community...

We have a variety of opportunities for you to connect with MHC and begin building valuable relationships with people of common life stages. Take some time to look through the list of ways you can engage and become involved with other believers who have a desire to show the love of God to our local community.

FOOD PANTRY

Through the generous donations of our church family, we are able to provide approximately five families a week with a grocery bag of non-perishable food items.  Families are allowed to come once a month and no ID is required.  This distribution is held most Mondays at 10:30 am.

MurraY HILL-O-WEEN

MHC partners with the businesses on Edgewood Ave. to participate in the Murray Hill-O-Ween event on the Saturday before Halloween from 4p-7p.  Come see us in the KIDS ZONE at Antisdale St. & Edgewood Ave.  There will be FREE bounce houses, games, crafts and candy for all pre-school through elementary age children.

Backpack Ministry

Let's face it - our local elementary school, Ruth N. Upson, has some income-challenged families. While Title I provides food for these children during schooldays, they often don't know what they'll get over the weekends.

We have shoppers that look for the best deals and buy food to send home. While the identities of the children are held confidential, we are able to send 20 students home with food every weekend during the school year. If you'd like to get involved in this ministry, contact Jay Stuckey and ask him how you can get plugged in.
